Lexington Kentucky Bourbon Trail Map 

Yes it is! Depending on what part of Lexington you’re staying in, Woodford is only about a 30 minute drive. Wild Turkey and Four Roses aren’t too far away either, as both are 30 - 40 minutes from Lex. However, these distilleries are officially part of the Central Bourbon Trail region, rather than the Lexington Bourbon Trail. We consider this region the Frankfort region, and you can find the map for it on our Frankfort Bourbon Trail page. 

The Lexington Bourbon Trail does have a walkable area! That area is known as the Distillery District, which is right off Manchester Street. Everything else is within a 5 or 10 minute drive, unless you go to the distant distilleries, Hartfield & Co or Wilderness Trail. For this reason, the Lexington area can be seen mostly by Uber! But to get to Woodford Reserve or some of the distilleries out in the Frankfort region, you will want to get a car or a tour service (like ours!.)

Lexington is the thoroughbred capital of the world! With that, there are horse farms you can tour, the world famous Keeneland Racetrack, and lots of equine-related… stuff! Lexington is a frequent stop for touring musicians, especially country and Americana. And of course, there are plenty of sporting activities being the home to the University of Kentucky Wildcats. 

Frankfort! It’s only about 40-45 minutes to get to Frankfort from Lexington, so it’s a rather easy drive. There you can find some of Kentucky’s top legacy distilleries like Wild Turkey, Woodford Reserve, Woodford Reserve, and more! You can find more info on that region all over our website.
