Unfiltered KY Tours is owned and operated right here in the Bluegrass state. We were founded in St. Matthews Kentucky, and our staff is composed of locals who have ties to the industry and region. We're a true locally-owned small business. Our owner attended school here at the University of Louisville and most of us grew up with bourbon in our back-yard!
We stay involved in the industry
The bourbon industry is much more than a job to us - we are all bourbon enthusiasts, hobbyists, researchers, & more! When we aren’t touring, our staff takes frequent field trips to the same distilleries and bourbon trail stops we take our guests to. Our team stays active in the bourbon community through various bourbon societies, networking events, grand openings, bourbon releases, certificates, & more!
We're expert trip planners
Whether you have your bourbon trip planned months in advance or are booking last minute, we will always work to put together the absolute best trip for your group. Through our multiple years of putting together 5-star experiences, we know what to book and when to book it. We handle all of the booking, scheduling, logistics, and everything else for our clients!
No 3-and-dones
You’ll see other tour services promoting 3-stop bourbon days, and after-which, you go back to your hotel or Airbnb. While we may plan your day around 3 stops, we always try to keep you on the bourbon trail from the time it opens until it closes! So, if time allows, we will fill your extra time with bonus stops. We will offer this without you having to ask, every time.
Legal & safe
One of our top priorities is keeping our customers safe, and not just by way of having a designated driver. Our fleet is covered with commercial insurance, passenger transportation licensing, state/DOT registrations, limo licensing, etc. Some of the companies and drivers out there may forgo these important stops. But we do not cut corners and operate within all of the red tape that there is in our industry.
Smaller is better
While it may be tempting to pick a large tour operator for your bourbon trip, we like to think that with being a smaller operation, we can be much more personable and accommodating. Since we only host a maximum of 3 groups a day, we can be a lot more flexible, attentive, and communicative with our groups. We feel there is no way to host 100+ people a day without losing touch with the thing that matters most on the bourbon trail - and that thing is you!
