A tour company's tips, reviews, FAQs, and more!
Lux Row Distillery and Tour Information
One of the things we love about Bardstown Kentucky, is that it has a towny, laid-back feel that other parts of the bourbon trail don’t have. And while Lux Row has an impressive distilling operation, it is incredibly charming, and is one of those laid-back gems that the Bardstown region is known for. In addition, this place has an incredible staff, lovely grounds, and some great whiskey. With that, here are a few reasons why we think a Lux Row Distillery tour should be part of your Bardstown bourbon trail day!

What we love
The Lux Row Campus
When you arrive at the Lux Row campus, you are immediately flanked by a lovely tree-lined drive that winds its way up to the distillery and visitors center. Next, you’ll notice a 200+ year-old Stone House, an old barn, and a distillery that is not yet a decade old. The variety of buildings new and old makes this place incredibly unique, offering a rich blend of historic and modern architecture. On the Lux Row distillery tour, you will learn more about these one-of-a-kind buildings and how they fit into the brand’s story and vision.
Rebel, Ezra Brooks & more
Some Darn-Good Whiskey
If you’ve ever shopped for bourbon at a well-stocked liquor store, you’ve most certainly walked past some of the Lux Row brands. At the distillery, you’ll be able to put a face to the name for brands like Rebel Bourbon, Remus, Ezra Brooks, Blood-Oath, Penelope, and others. With Luxco and MGP’s longstanding involvement in the bourbon industry, they have acquired and created an impressive lineup of bourbon that they now curate with one another. The Lux Row Distillery is a great place to dive into these products, getting a chance to try quality whiskeys both new and familiar.

So many paths…
Industry Ties & History
While every whiskey lover is interested in the history of bourbon, there are many rabbit holes you can (and will) go down the more you learn about bourbon history. The history of distilleries and IPs changing hands, private labeling, conglomerates, MGP, etc. If these things interest you, Lux Row is a great distillery to nerd out on, as so many lines run through Luxco’s long-standing operations. Acquisitions from Stitzel Weller and Jim Beam, bottling for legacy distilleries, partnering with MGP and Limestone Branch. There is a lot to nerd out on here, and all these ties provide some serious credibility to the distillery and its operations.
